Track: Case StudiesA new crop of net zero energy projects have arrived at the magic threshold of one year’s demonstrated performance and ILFI Net Zero Energy certification. They run the gamut of building type and technologies:
• The first major corporate NZE branch chain building – the PNC Fort Lauderdale, FL branch;
• The DPR San Francisco and San Diego office buildings; and
• A quartet of homes in the Puget Sound basin: a 1920’s Craftsman remodel, a new SIP panel home, a tidy new home built by a community land trust, and a 1970’s home remodel which not only offsets the home’s energy use but the occupant’s EV as well.
A special bonus will be a ground-breaking total carbon analysis of the DPR San Francisco office, presented by Ted Van der Linden.
Following an overview of these projects, ILFI’s Brad Liljequist and NBI’s Ralph Dinola will then turn to a Pecha Kucha conversation about the future of net zero energy – what are we really trying to achieve, and how will we get there?
