Everything is an Offer: Using Effective Engagement to Achieve Truly Beneficial Outcomes
Track: Equity + Fairness

Living Solutions (buildings, communities, products, processes) emerge from a deep understanding of the social context, and utilise social capital in their implementation. This session uses short case studies to illustrate the mindset required to build trust between the community and the project team, embed transparency in the process, and the benefits that result. Using improvisation games, participants will test these ideas, followed by a longer exercise where participants will identify ways to apply these processes to improve outcomes on their own projects. This session would be of interest to anyone working in property development, particularly in social infrastructure, as the examples relate to education and affordable housing.
