Opening Wednesday Night Keynote: Steve Curwood (Living on Earth)
Join us in hearing from Keynote Steve Curwood, as well as the opening 15 Minutes of Brilliance speaker Jamie Bechtel.

Steve Curwood
As the host of "Living on Earth", one of the most popular radio shows about the environment, Steve Curwood has covered everything from Earth Day to pollution to climate change. At Living Future, he will connect the dots between the urban landscape and social justice, honing in on the city as a locus of the natural world instead of a separate entity. Bridging such issues as access to green space, buried rivers, urban watersheds, and the siting of low-income communities in polluted city scapes, Steve promises to bring about a comprehensive vision of environmental justice in the urban environment and leave you with a new sense on how to help humanity reconcile its relationship with the environment.

In the world of architecture and urban design, no issue is as pressing as full-fledged regenerative design, and there is no better time than today to commit to action. Ed, whose 2030 Challenge asserts that all new buildings and developments should be carbon-neutral by 2030, will speak of how far we’ve come--and what must still be accomplished in order for humanity to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
