Dana oversees the Food Access Program at Pike Place Market. She is responsible for creating and implementing programs at the Market that make local foods accessible for low-income families. She works with hundreds of individuals each year through classes at the Pike Market Atrium Kitchen, a CSA program called Farm to Go, and multiple farmers market outreach projects. In 2014, the Food Access Program received the Sustainable Seattle Resource Impact Award. Dana believes that food access is a critical part of enhancing our food system and she is a strong advocate of local farmers and eating more carrots.
