Kurt Hoelting is a mindfulness teacher, and is a founder and co-director of Cascadia Mindfulness Institute. A Zen student for many years, his passion is to bring the benefits of mindfulness into the heart of daily life and work. He teaches mindfulness in a variety of contexts, ranging from wilderness-based mindfulness retreats in Alaska to Seattle’s VA hospital. He teaches regular Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes throughout the Greater Seattle area.
Kurt is also a climate activist, writer, and author of The Circumference of Home: One Man’s Yearlong Quest for a Radically Local Life, which was a finalist for the 2011 WA State Book Award.
