Over 20 of Sally’s almost 30 years of practicing architecture have been spent solely working on nonprofit social service sector and community-based facilities. Sally is a Senior Architect with the nonprofit Community Design Center, Environmental Works, which has provided planning and architecture services to underserved communities in the Puget Sound region since 1970 and recently received the 2015 Lewis Mumford Award from Architects Designers and Planners for Social Responsibility. Sally specializes in child care center and community facility design, as well as community-based design processes in which end-users’ visions and input are prioritized in the final design of a project.
