Based in Tacoma, Washington, Recovery 1 develops machinery and processes that identify materials found in the Construction & Demolition waste stream that can be converted into usable/salable materials. For more than two decades, Recovery 1 has been pushing beyond simple resource recovery to exploring the most forward thinking solutions to sustainable waste management systems – reducing the load on community landfills (diverting more than 1.4 million tons of material to date), conserving resources for future use and developing process to convert waste to recycled products.
